Linder Tire was a proud sponsor of the Old Capitol Mile!
The Old Capitol Mile is a unique road race distance at an unusual race time (Sunday afternoon) in a special location: downtown Iowa City. The event draws crowds ranging from kids competing in their first road race to elites competing for cash prizes, and everyone in between. Three different heats allow kids and family their own race, followed by the women's only heat and ending with the men. At the end of the day, there is also a 1-block kids' sprint for the smallest competitors! Proceeds from the event are donated equally to Young Life of Iowa City and Iowa Most, which sends a medical team every year to Guatemala to perform cleft lip and cleft pallet repairs.
The Old Capitol Mile took place on Sunday, October 5th, 2014.
